Terms and Conditions

Membership

  1. During the Free Trial Membership period, you will have access to all online sessions included in your membership package, but you will not be able to take advantage of any membership discounts.
  2. Following receipt of the first monthly payment, you will be given access to the discounted prices for events that correspond with your membership package.
  3. Membership discounts will only be available through valid discount codes that need to be applied at the point of signing up.
  4. Membership discounts will only be valid for a fixed period of time. It may be possible to extend this period on request.

Events and Course

  1. The standard deposit to secure your place on an event or course is 20% of the full price of the course you are booking. The precise value will be confirmed in the event information.
  2. Event and Course bookings are only taken through our online booking process.
  3. Places will only be confirmed on receipt of the aforementioned deposit.
  4. Bookings are taken on a first come, first served basis.
  5. When an event becomes fully booked, subsequent bookings will be given the opportunity to be added to the waiting Lists:
    1. Should places become available for an event with a waiting list, those on the waiting list will be informed of the option to book prior to it being offered to the public.
    2. Complete booking information via our online portal is required in order to hold a place on the waiting list, but no deposit will be taken until a place becomes available on the event.
  6. Discounts for events and courses will only be available through valid discount codes that  need to be applied at the time of booking.
  7. If you are unable to complete a course or event that you have already started, we would ask you to talk to a representative of The Qigong Academy Ltd to ensure you are able to exit the training in a safe, considered manner.
  8. Depending on the circumstances, we may offer a refund should a student choose to leave an event or training programme. Refunds for events or courses that are under way will be considered on a case by case basis and will always take into account the costs associated with the booking.

Products and Shipping

  1. Products purchased from our shop that require shipping will only ship to UK addresses.
  2. Standard free shipping will be by Royal Mail and will usually be dispatched within 3 days.
  3. Express Shipping will use Royal Mail and will usually be dispatched the following day.

Returns

  1. Please contact us if you need to return a product and ensure that we receive it back within 30 days of purchase.
  2. Our returns address is:

  3. All returned items must be unused and in their original condition with garment tags attached. Where possible, we ask that you return all items in their original packaging. If you have broken cellophane seals on any items, please return all other labels and materials apart from the cellophane itself. Items that have been used cannot be returned. Any items that have clearly been used will be not refunded even if they are returned to us. Any rejected returns cannot be reshipped and will be destroyed upon receipt.
  4. The postage and handling of your return is your responsibility. Please ensure that you obtain proof of postage when sending your parcel back as we cannot be held responsible for any orders that do not arrive back to us. You may be able to claim compensation through your chosen return service if you have proof of postage.
  5. Returns can only be refunded to the person who originally placed and paid for the order, and the refund can only be processed back to the same payment method. Refunds can take up to 14 days after receipt of the return.

Complaints Policy

  1. Any complaints must be made via email here via the contact form
  2. Complaints relating to the training or conduct of members of The Qigong Academy will be recorded and The Qigong Academy will work with the complainant in order to reach a suitable resolution.
  3. Complaints relating to a teacher who has trained through The Qigong Academy will be recorded and taken up with the associated Teacher. The Qigong Academy, Complainant and associated teacher will work together to reach a suitable resolution.
  4. Should a resolution not be found we will work with the complainant to find a suitable third party to help to resolve the situation.

Concessions and Bursaries

  1. Concessionary rates and Bursaries for longer training programmes will be made available when the funding allows. Each offer of support will be considered on an individual basis.
  2. Application for concessions and bursaries need to be made via the contact form

Commission and Introducers Fees

  1. The Qigong Academy will offer commissions and discounts to people who promote our courses and events. For the purposes of clarity, this is outlined in a separate document that can be found here.

Cancellation Policy

  1. If you cancel a booking more than 4 weeks prior to the commencement of the booked event or course, the balance of payments made over and above the amount of your deposit will be refunded to you.
  2. If you cancel your booking between 2 and 4 weeks prior to the commencement of the booked event or course, we will retain 50% of the event/course fees.
  3. If you cancel your booking less than 2 weeks prior to the commencement of the booked event or course, no refund will be given.
  4. Should it be necessary for The Qigong Academy Ltd to cancel the event, a full refund will be offered.

Teacher Training Students

  1. Students who are studying on our Teacher Training Programme are expected to follow the code of conduct that is given to them on signing up for the course.
